Teddy Stiga and Aron Kiviharju Will Rise After the U18 Worlds

Teddy Stiga is a player I saw around six times live this season. Of any player that I thought was underrated on the NTDP, it was him. Now, there are a few others who will appear on bigger lists that weren’t there but Stiga is a first-rounder in my eyes and I’ve felt that way for a long time.

Stiga makes great plays in the corners and behind the net to keep the play going and set up his teammates. He also knows when there’s an open lane to score and that’s what is, and will be on display at the U18 Worlds. He’s a great interview. That will resonate after the 2024 NHL Combine too.

Aron Kiviharju has had an injury-plagued season but is back just in time. He missed four months due to surgery and he’s started the U18s strong. Reminding scouts about his speed and how much of a weapon he is on the power play. That’s a talent that is sought after and is one of the best in the draft. I don’t think he’s just a power play specialist at the next level either. I think he’s better than that. How much? It remains to be seen but I fully expect him to move up on the next round of rankings in a few weeks.
