Cole Hutson Is Playing Determined Hockey

Ottawa – – On the heels of USA-Switzerland, Cole Hutson was feeling good about his team. Switzerland was very chippy, especially with captain, Ryan Leonard, and that wasn’t lost on the young defenseman.

“Maybe a little bit. Probably more with just our captain, Leonard,” Hutson stated. “He’s all over the place out there. He’s an animal. So I think just him.

Nobody drew bigger boos today than Leonard. And that’s a backhanded sign of respect.

“He’s clearly doing something right if all the Canadian fans hate him so hopefully he keeps it going.”

Things are rolling well for Team USA.

“Two pretty big wins. One against Canada and one in the Quarterfinal against Switzerland. We are excited to get the ball rolling and hopefully come out on top the next one,” Hutson stated.

It’s important for him to keep doing what he’s doing. He’s one of the top-scoring defensemen in the tournament.

“Stay level headed, just play my game, we have eight pretty good defensemen here, just play my game, things will come,” Hutson added.

Team USA has gold on their minds but they potentially have a hard road to get there. Nothing is ever handed to you in this tournament.
