Teddy Stiga Is Underrated

It’s hard to say a player is underrated if they play for the NTDP, but Teddy Stiga is. Early rankings weren’t kind to this high-scoring left wing. I don’t care that he’s 5’10”. He’s a strong 176 pounds, and he knows how to cycle the puck, and he scores goals.

He didn’t have a great U17 season, but he’s proving it now. The early snapshot for this season is strong. A couple of days ago he had a goal and two assists. One of them was a go-ahead goal, but then the game was tied.

InStat is telling me that he gets 82% of his shots on net. He’s winning 57% of his puck battles.

There’s no doubt to me that he’s a first-round talent. Where he ends up in the first round is the big question.

This is my first 2024 NHL Draft snapshot. Keep an eye out for more.
